Description

This triangular point features a slender, stemmed profile with a cross-sectional shape that is approximately elliptical. The blade's curvature is variable, transitioning between excurvate and straight configurations. Distinct shoulders are typically oriented at an upward angle, lending the point a characteristic silhouette. The stem itself is predominantly straight, although it can exhibit a contracting morphology in some instances. The basal edge ranges from convex to straight, adding to the point's overall geometric diversity. The flaking pattern observed on this artifact is random, lacking a discernible, organized arrangement.

Size

The dimensions of the arrowheads are as follows: overall length ranges from 70 to 100 mm, while the stem measures between 20 to 27 mm in length. The blade width varies from 20 to 35 mm, with an average width of 21 mm. The stem width is recorded between 13 to 17 mm, based on a limited sample size.

Distribution

This type is mainly located in eastern Texas. It can also be discovered with less regularity in northwestern Louisiana, southwestern Arkansas, and southeastern Oklahoma
