Description
This projectile point exhibits a compact, asymmetrical profile, ranging from ovoid to lanceolate in shape, with a cross-sectional ellipse. The blade's curvature is characterized by an excurvate shape, where the distal end curves inward and then recurves back toward the proximal base. Typically, the blade's maximum width is situated near its midpoint. The basal margin varies from a straight edge to a subtly concave outline. The flaking pattern on this point appears to be random, lacking a discernible, organized arrangement.
Size
The dimensions of the arrowheads are characterized by a total length ranging from 35 to 55 mm, while the blade width spans from 33 to 115 mm.
Distribution
This type is mainly discovered in northern Missouri and extending into southern Iowa, southeastern Nebraska, and northeastern Kansas
