Description

Key Marco pottery is a Glades-period coastal Florida ceramic type, typically plain or smoothed, with simple jar and bowl forms. Surfaces vary from tan to dark gray, often unevenly fired. Decoration is generally minimal or absent.

Size

Vessels range from 12–26 cm in diameter and 10–24 cm tall; walls 6–10 mm thick.

Found throughout coastal southwest Florida, especially around the Ten Thousand Islands and Everglades.
