Description
This triangular point exhibits a range of sizes and features a cross-sectional profile that can be either flattened or elliptical in shape. The blade's curvature varies, spanning from excurvate to straight, and is often distinguished by parallel notches situated just above the shoulder area. Serrations are a common feature along the blade's edge. The shoulders typically slope downward, adopting a drooping posture. The stem tapers inward, terminating in a base that can be either straight or convex. The flaking pattern observed on this point is characterized by a random arrangement of flakes.
Size
The dimensions of the arrowheads are characterized by the following measurements: overall length ranges from 43 to 214 mm, while the stem measures between 8 and 22 mm in length. The blade width varies from 25 to 62 mm, and the neck width spans from 11 to 37 mm. Additionally, the basal width is between 9 and 24 mm, and the thickness of the arrowhead is consistently between 5 and 8 mm.
Distribution
This type is mainly discovered in the Sacramento Delta area and extending into the San Francisco Bay territory.
