Description
The specimen exhibits a medium-sized, ovoid morphology with an elliptical profile. Its blade is characterized by a broad, excurvate shape, with the maximum width occurring between the midpoint and lower third of the point. The base of the point is subtly convex, featuring rounded corners that soften its overall outline. The flaking pattern observed on this artifact is random, lacking a discernible, organized arrangement.
Size
The arrowheads exhibit the following dimensions: an average length of 42 mm, a mean blade width of 29 mm, and an average thickness of 6 mm, with these measurements being based on a limited dataset.
Distribution
These artifacts appear to be confined to the Las Chivas complex within the Llano Grande cultural sphere. They are likely to occur in the Llano Grande cultural territories of Durango. Possibly present in additional Llano Grande cultural zones of Sonora, Chihuahua, Sinaloa, Nayarit, Jalisco, and Zacatecas
